Joseph C. Dickson, LCSW
When you are hurting, frightened,
angry, confused, failing at a life task, or just wanting some objective
input, you need a psychotherapist who is well-trained and highly
experienced.
You also need to be comfortable with the therapist, the approach he uses, and the fees he asks.
I meet all of these requirements. I
received my graduate degree from the School of Clinical Social Work at
the University of Southern California.
I am National Board Certified in Clinical Social Work, and have been in
private practice for 37 years in the San Gabriel Valley. I have taught
at USC and Cal State University Schools of Social Work.
I have heard almost every personal
story and explored almost every relational situation. I am interactive
and supportive in the sessions, and use an easily understood Cognitive
Behavioral approach in helping my clients address their issues.
The office is comfortable and wheel chair accessible. Fees are reasonable and health insurance is accepted.
When you call, we take a few moments on the telephone to become
acquainted, and to get a sense of what you are looking for. You will
have complete confidentiality from the moment of our first contact.
Our lives, including our problems, are
unique to each of us, and yet we are all remarkably the same. There is
nothing that surprises me. Nothing disturbs my respect and positive
regard for my clients.
With other clients, I have been where you are. You can expect to be
understood very early in the process. You will find I listen, never
judge, and always offer some strategies that are helpful.
Call me at (626) 445-3862. Be patient with the
voice mail. I always return calls in a timely fashion. If it is urgent,
you may page me. If you choose, email me by using the Contact Us page.
Self disclosure is never easy, but it
is the first step to resolution and healing. Do not procrastinate. Care
enough to give yourself this opportunity. Make the call today.
